The scheduling interface is designed for rapid yet easy

navigation. Groups / Divisions, sub-groups and providers are displayed in a column
on the left. On the top of the schedule screen, a timeline displays the date / time
increments. For the Surgical Case Schedule the timeline displays 23 hours and 59
minutes of the selected day in 15 minute increments. The Vacation and Call Schedule
views display a monthly timeline showing days divided into four units.
Also at the top of the screen is the program menu, the zoom control for zooming
the view in and out and the scheduler alert box. All of the schedulers are kept
informed of important situations and events through the alert system.
Cases, vacations and meetings are displayed on the schedule screen as bars. For
cases the color of the bar indicates what facility the case is schedule to be done
at. The length of the bar indicates the procedure length. By holding down the left
mouse button the bars can be moved from one provider to another or to a different
time. Case length can also be adjusted by changing the bar length using the mouse.
At the bottom of the scheduling screen are the date selector, the group / division
selector and the Quick Command buttons. The date selector allows you to select a
specific schedule date to go to by typing in the date or selecting it from a calendar.
The Group selector allows the scheduler to filter the schedule view to show only
the schedule for one particular group. The Quick Command buttons at the bottom right
allow you to quickly jump from Case Schedule to Vacation Schedule to Meeting or
Call Schedule. It also allow you to quickly go to the next or previous schedule
date.
